Board of Directors
Steve Wong (MBA)
Steve began his career as an executive professional in the high-tech industry in the 1990s. His experience in the business world provides a comprehensive level of expertise to the board of directors. Through many friendships and relationships, Steve understands the challenges police and first responders face.
In addition, Steve is a devoted husband and father to three kids. He and his family are very active in their church and community, and also enjoy spending time outdoors in the Pacific Northwest.
Jake Shafer (MBA)
Jake is the chief financial officer for a prominent insurance brokerage and investment advisory firm. His business expertise and financial acumen bring great perspective and insight into the operations of Foundation IV.
Over the years through friendships, Jake has learned to appreciate the unique challenges facing police officers and first responders. He feels indebted to their life of service.
As a former collegiate athlete, Jake enjoys coaching youth sports and stays involved in various athletic leagues. Jake and his wife of 20+ years have three daughters, and remain very active in their church, school activities, and community.
Steve McNally (MD)
After completing medical school, Steve and his wife, Sarita, moved back to their roots in the Northwest, where Steve is a practicing physician. Steve’s personal and professional experience brings a thoughtful and encouraging perspective to Foundation IV.
Over the years, Steve has taken the opportunity to travel and help medical communities and others in need. Steve is very active in his church, and enjoys spending much of his free time exploring the outdoors.
Steve and Sarita have been married for 39 years and have three grown children and two grandchildren.
Gary Dozier (Executive Pastor)
Gary is an executive pastor at SW Bible Church. His love and care for people from all walks of life is inspiring. Gary is gifted in meeting each person exactly where they are in life, to bring true hope and encouragement.
In addition to Foundation IV, Gary serves on the Portland Metro Public Safety Chaplaincy Board of Directors, the Washington County Law Enforcement Advisory Board, and has been instrumental in coordinating an annual 1st Responder event at SW Bible Church.
Gary and his wife, Paige, have been married for 32 years and have three adult children.
Mike Vorberg
(Detective Sergeant - Major Crimes Unit)
Mike has over 25 years as a police officer, including extensive experience as a detective, tactical team member, training officer, and supervisor. Mike is passionate about his work and maintains a top-tier commitment to helping others.
In addition to police work, Mike is very active within his church and community. Mike’s personal and professional experience with wellness and resilience is extensive, which is invaluable as a Foundation IV board member.
Mike and his wife have been married for 22 years and have three children.
